THE MAGIC OF DAYGLO
In the 2020 The Magic of DayGlo event hosted at Waterloo Arts, I played a key role in the installation of multimedia works by over 20 local and global artists. The exhibition showcased each artist’s selected medium that utilized DayGlo Color Corp's glow-in-the-dark, UV-activated paint.
To ensure the optimal viewing experience, I meticulously mapped out the ideal settings and positions for various UV lighting fixtures, creating an atmosphere that truly brought the artworks to life.
Recognizing the importance of catering to our digital audience admist COVID-19, I took charge of curating an immersive, digital version of our gallery using cutting-edge 360 virtual tour software, Klapty. Additionally, I diligently documented and photographed each artwork, providing live streams for those unable to attend in person and developing a digital system to include online users in the event's on-site raffles.
During the on-site opening reception, I took on the responsibility of managing digital ticketing and 3-D glasses, carefully adhering to COVID-19 regulations to ensure a safe environment for all visitors. Crowd control measures were diligently implemented, guaranteeing that the event was both enjoyable and safe for everyone involved.
